Our Food and Beverage Division has placed successful candidates in a variety of quality assurance positions including Vice President of Quality Assurance (Plant and/or Corporate), Director of Quality Assurance (Plant and/or Corporate), and Quality Assurance Manager.
Vice President of Quality Assurance for a multi-site nutrition bar company. The placed candidate spearheaded a QA and compliance upgrade program, as well as implemented SPC for net weight control, achieving a two percent increase in yield. They upgraded the microbiology laboratory, resulting in increased proficiency and productivity, developed ingredient laboratory procedures, reorganized and developed staff to meet around the clock production needs. They led cross functional team to obtain organic certification, achieve application submittal for new overseas facility, and write upgraded and facilitated implementation of all SOPs and specifications. Additionally, the successful candidate implemented HACCP, including a comprehensive allergen, and achieved successful results on customer, third party and regulatory audits.
Quality Assurance Manager for a plant. They managed and coordinated Quality Control personnel, lab functions and QC schedules. The candidate we placed developed, evaluated, and reviewed records in order to recommend disposition necessary to assure the proper quality of all finished and raw products. They are also responsible for conducting sanitation audits and ensuring current good manufacturing practices are followed. The placed candidate interfaced with production, sales and other departments to achieve and maintain established policies and quality standards, as well as monitoring accurate records for the HACCP program.
Quality Assurance Manager for a Raw Materials and Co-Pack Operation. The placed candidate initiated control systems for GMP, Sanitation, Food Safety, Quality Assurance, HACCP, and Self Audits, including all the necessary record documentation. The candidate we placed authored raw material and ‘finished product’ specifications against which all materials are tested. Additionally, they created a system for nutritional information label creation by the company, which resulted in saving the costs of external acquisition. The candidate developed Risk Assessment Audits for domestic and Global suppliers, created an approved vendor database and developed Quality Systems with global suppliers (including China).
