Vice President – Chief Financial Officer
Our client is a hotel management company with over 35 hotels located in the Northeastern United States. They were looking for a seasoned CFO to reorganize their financial team to create a culture of enhanced financial responsibility and control. The position is charged with responsibility for the company’s banking relationships. The position oversees a Corporate Controller, Internal Auditor, and a Corporate Tax Manager. Other administrative oversight responsibilities include human resources, purchasing, and MIS.
Our client is a hotel corporation that owns and manages full service hotels and resorts. The company is located in Florida. They operate a decentralized accounting system with each property maintaining a Director of Finance and staff. The position description called for an individual who could supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual operating statements on both a property specific basis as well as via consolidated reporting. The Controller insures compliance with GAAP, Federal and State Regulations, and company specific practices and policies.
Corporate Director of Internal Audit
Our client is a diversified hospitality company operating hotel, conference centers and restaurants. The company headquarters are in Colorado. They were looking for an experience Internal Auditor responsible for ensuring that monetarily, the company is running efficiently, public records related to finances are kept accurately, and taxes are paid properly and on time. The audit director checks for mismanagement, waste or fraud and prepares reports identifying areas of potential internal exposure and areas for improved operational efficiency.
Corporate Director of Tax Planning
Our client is a privately held real estate development and management company with significant assets and revenue. The company owns hotels, resorts, public storage companies, and medical facilities. The company headquarters are located in Washington DC. They were looking for a tax accountant to manage the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance issues for the company as well as for major shareholders, executives and related entities. This individual must be able to read and analyze the IRS Code, State Codes, Regulations, IRS rulings and notices, financial reports and partnership agreements.
