Executive Search Firm Recruiting DIRECTOR OF
TAX ACCOUNTING
Our client is a Southern California based privately held
real estate development and Management Company in the greater Los Angeles area with $395mm in assets and $56mm
in revenue. The company owns hotels, resorts, public storage companies, and
medical facilities. They are looking for a tax accountant to manage the tax
reporting, tax planning, and compliance issues for the company as well as
shareholders, executives and related entities (including partnerships (LLC, LP
and GP), simple trusts, and a private foundation).
The successful candidate will oversee the completion of
over 60 returns and their related quarterly estimates. He or she will prepare
and present annual tax plan/tax projections to the CEO/COO/CFO and other top
executives at semi-annual planning meetings. The Director of Tax will work
closely with financial reporting personnel in the analysis of methods of
recording data to meet tax reporting requirements. They will be instrumental in
the analysis of complex transactions for income tax issues and prepare
appropriate documentation. This individual must be able to read and analyze the
IRS Code, State Codes, Regulations, IRS rulings and notices, financial reports
and partnership agreements.
Real estate experience is
highly valued. Experience in the hospitality related industries would be a plus.
Accounting degree, CPA or significant professional experience in tax preparation
required. This search is regionally focused – only Western States candidates
will be considered.
COMPENSATION: $80-120,000
PLUS BONUS AND FULL BENEFITS.
