Controller

Our client is a food manufacturer in the Los Angeles area. They are seeking a Controller to join their team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join the Executive team of a stable and growing enterprise.

The Controller will prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial statements. They will manage receivables, payables, credit, payroll, and cash handling functions with the accounting department, as well as risk management and HR functions. The Controller will prepare financial analyses of operations including variance explanation and make recommendation to ensure the achievement of business goals/targets.

The successful candidate will assist the CEO in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives. The Controller will act as a strategic partner to the CEO, providing critical thinking and financial acumen to enable the organization to reach its long-term goals. The successful candidate will use financial analysis, data trends, and market information to anticipate needs, identify operating/financial issues, and recommend actions to maximize returns.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to think strategically and in “big picture” terms, but still roll up their sleeves and dive into the details
• Ability to develop financial and tax strategies
• Ability to lead the organization in exploring business opportunities that create value and drive profits

Salary Range: Up to $200,000 plus bonus and competitive benefits
