Our client is a food manufacturer in the Fresno, California area. This is a special opportunity to join an established, highly-regarded category leader.

The Director of Food Safety and Quality Assurance is responsible for leading the food safety and quality program, while providing leadership in all aspects of food safety operations. They will lead a team to develop quality standards and programs, which assures production of products to meet customer and company expectations. This person will maintain GFSI and regulatory compliance with food safety and quality expectations in the production of fresh beef, and further processed meat and poultry products. Additionally, the Director of FSQA will evaluate and manage food safety program software, manage laboratory and regulatory functions and develop a strategy and vision for the FSQA team.


  • Meat industry experience and food manufacturing experience required
  • Masters of Science Degree in Animal Science, Meat Science, Food Science, or similar field; or five years of related experience and/or training in various ascending leadership roles in Food Safety and Quality departments, or combination of education and training
