Director of Accounting

Our client is a manufacturer of customized food and beverage products (powders, concentrates) for the food service industry, located in the Los Angeles area (local candidates only). This is a special opportunity to join an established and growing, highly regarded category leader.

The Director of Accounting will prepare accurate monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, ensure GAAP compliance, manage audits, and oversee tax filings. The position will direct day-to-day accounting, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions. The ideal candidate will hire, train, mentor, and manage accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team. The Director of Accounting will analyze financial data for trends, provide insights to leadership, and align financial practices with business strategy. They will develop and maintain strong internal controls and risk management strategies, as well as coordinate budget preparation and forecast cash requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Eight or more years of experience working in accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Significant cost accounting experience
• Deep GAAP knowledge, ERP/accounting software proficiency, strong analytical skills, tax knowledge

Salary Range: $150,000 – $178,000 plus bonus
