Director of Product Development

Our client is a manufacturer of customized food and beverage products (powders, concentrates) for the food service industry, located in the Los Angeles area (local candidates only). This is a special opportunity to join an established, rapidly growing, and highly regarded category leader.

The Director of Product Development will be responsible for leading a team of R&D professionals, and will work with customers and senior company leadership to gain a deep understanding of customer requirements. The successful candidate will create a product development process to ensure that new products meet customer needs for flavor, texture, color, nutritional content, and price targets.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field
• Eight or more years of experience working in R&D, and managing a research team
• Documented success in developing new food products that have excelled in the consumer market
• A master’s degree is a plus

Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000
