Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is a leading provider of equipment and technology solutions for agricultural commodities including seed, fertilizer, grain and feed systems and an expanding platform for food processing facilities. This position can be located in numerous locations in the U.S., or Canada.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for creating 3D models and preparing detailed engineering drawings, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information in relation to machinery, structures and mechanical equipment or devices.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with designing food manufacturing/food processing equipment
• Eight or more years of related design experience
• Experience with drafting and designing metal fabrications, material handling equipment, structures and grain systems
• Ability to read and understand structural indication drawings as well as interpret specifications, sketches and information that affect component or system design
• Knowledge of ASME, NFPA, and OSHA standards pertaining to manufacturing equipment and platform design

Salary Range: $130,000 – $160,000
