The HACO Group is a privately held, worldwide distributor of innovative and premium quality European food products. With their current US Chief Executive Officer* retiring, HACO retained Bristol to find their successor to oversee their North American locations, Girard’s Dressings and Plochman’s Mustard.

Bristol’s Vice President David Alford led the search, which started at the beginning of the global COVID-19 Pandemic and thus presented unique challenges during the process. Many candidates were reluctant to entertain a job change due to the uncertainty caused by the COVID crisis. Scheduling the final, in-person interview with the Swiss CEO also became an obstacle due to international travel restrictions and quarantine guidelines.

Despite the unexpected hurdles, Alford successfully found the right candidate for the job. With over 15 years of food manufacturing experience, Dave Cisneros has led a range of national and international businesses, including Dakota Layers, Land O’Lakes, Sparboe Companies, and Cargill.

Alford notes, “Dave had experience running similar sized food companies with comparable organizational structures. Additionally, he has strong sales and marketing skills that will help HACO reach its revenue goals for North America.”

* HACO Group’s retiring US CEO, Dave Nicholson, was also placed by Bristol Associates in 2015.
