Vice President & Director of Research and Development
The candidate is responsible for new product development and optimization for a company that focuses on fresh refrigerated entrees. They ensure consistency with the company’s nutrient content claims, organoleptic standards, quality, safety and regulatory compliance for all food, beverage and ingredient products. In addition, they are responsible for ideation, product development, sensory testing and commercialization. They direct the R&D team to develop and optimize new products and processes, and interact closely with customers, marketing & sales, production and supply chain leaders.
Manager of Research and Development
The placed candidate supervises product developers and technicians, manages the R&D budget, and reduced expenses for a fruit concentrates and bases focused company. Additionally, they established strong customer relationships with national brands and private label customers, plan and direct all facets of product development and improvement, and generate revenue with new products.
The place candidate developed appetizers from bench top to scale-up production for branded, private labels, club and food service customers for a meat processor. They are responsible for daily product quality checks and conducting sensory evaluation for Quality Assurance and Quality Control, Corporate Chef and upper management. In addition, they generated specification sheets for raw and finished products, as well as created nutritional labels, ingredient statements and cooking instructions on new and existing products.
