Legal Counsel

Our client is a Tribal-owned casino resort that integrates cultural elements throughout the guest experience. This forward-thinking property features a spacious gaming floor, a luxurious hotel, a full-service spa, a state-of-the-art convention center, and mouthwatering dining options.

The Legal Counsel will prepare and review contracts, as well as monitoring and advising the casino property on changes in gaming legislation. Additional duties include researching gaming law, Tribal ordinances, statutes, and codes. The ideal candidate will also advise the General Manager and the Casino’s departments on legal matters, including various gaming regulations, contract oversight, and employment issues. The position reports directly to the General Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Law degree with strong academic credentials
• At least five years of post-law school experience, with two years of casino/Tribal government experience
• Field of study in Indian Law, with an emphasis on gaming, is a strong plus
• Excellent judgement and decision-making skills

Salary Range: $130,000 – $170,000
