Plant Manager

Our client is a processor of delicious seafood, located in the Los Angeles area. This is a special opportunity to join an established and growing, highly regarded category leader.

The Plant Manager will oversee the daily operation of the facility including production, warehousing, inventory, logistics, maintenance, and staff leadership. The successful candidate will manage production activities across multiple shifts and departments to manufacture products that meet established quality, food safety, innovation, sanitation and cost metrics consistent with schedules and policies.

The position will have P&L responsibility, implement processes, and act as the process authority in all areas of the plant. They will also troubleshoot supply chain issues and monitor/track production yields to determine required adjustments to improve yields and increase efficiencies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of five years working in plant management in a food production operation
• Must have experience working with proteins–seafood, meat, poultry
• Knowledge of maintenance, QA, production scheduling, sanitation, forklift operation and regulatory agency requirements
• Understanding HACCP, SQF and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Policies
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Experience working with refrigeration
• Experience working with seafood is preferred, but not required

Salary Range: $150,000 – $180,000 plus bonus
