Employee Spotlight: Alexander Dodge
Meet Alexander Dodge, an Account Executive at Bristol Associates. He joined our firm in 2020, hungry to learn and eager to apply his interpersonal skills to a new industry. Born and raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles, Alexander graduated from McDaniel College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. Leading a healthy lifestyle, he enjoys spending time in nature and is passionate about fitness and nutrition.
To commemorate Alexander’s 2nd work anniversary, we asked him a series of questions for our readers to get to know him better.
What do you enjoy most about being a recruiter?
“I love conversing with so many different types of people while helping our clients and candidates accomplish their goals. Very grateful to be part of an amazing firm as well.”
What motivates you at work?
“Aside from my mentor President Ben Farber, I’m motivated by a few different goals: developing myself into a more well-rounded recruiter, pursuing top-tier candidates, financial growth, and general career progress.”
What is your proudest accomplishment at Bristol Associates?
“Probably becoming an Account Executive within my first two years. Aside from that, one placement sticks out in particular – CEO Alex Dixon at the Dubuque Racing Association and Q Casino in Iowa.”
What is the greatest lesson you have learned since working at Bristol Associates?
“Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.”
Who inspires you and why?
“My wife – she’s the strongest, most caring, and beautifully resilient person I know.”
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
“Pretty early on in life, I became fascinated by big cats – lions, tigers, leopards – I wanted to be an Animal Behaviorist and find a way to work closely with them.”
What do you like to do outside of work?
“I like to exercise, go camping, read, hike trails, play video games, spend time with our pets, and meditate.”
Describe yourself in three words or phrases.
“Enthusiastic, conscientious, observant.”
What is a fun fact about yourself?
“My brain sits differently in my skull than the majority of the population.”
What is something you have always wanted to do but have yet to accomplish?
“I’ve always wanted to try my hand at voice acting.”
