Our client is one of the largest vertically integrated hemp producers in the county and produces cannabinoid isolates and distillates. We are looking for someone ideally located in California, Oregon, or Nevada, but can work remotely as well.
This person will be responsible for directing accounting staff to perform monthly account reconciliation and remediation of any discrepancies in the financial records. He/she will be a strategic partner to the Executive team. They will be intimately involved in all strategic business decisions providing critical thinking and financial acumen to the long term goals of the organization.
He/she will use financial analysis, data trends and market information to anticipate needs, identify operating/financial issues and recommend actions to maximize financial return, as well as preparing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure adequate internal controls over financial reporting which are consistent with company policies and regulatory agencies requirements. Reviewing and coordinating the distribution of monthly financial statements: statement of income, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, changes in equity and reports as required by regulatory agencies, including general ledger account analysis and other analytical reviews will be within this person’s purview.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA and CPA preferred
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and the principles governing internal controls
- Must have extensive experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments
